Karthi's heroine goes to Bollywood for a Suriya flick!

Kajal Agarwal who was wooed by Karthi in Naan Mahaan Alla is ruling the roost in Tollywood with a couple of Tamil films also. She is all set to dazzle Bollywood now. The lady has been signed opposite popular Bollywood star Ajay Devgn. The film is the remake of Suriya- Anushka starrer Singam and the Hindi version will be helmed by director Rohit Shetty. Though this film would be Kajal’s first Hindi project as a full length solo heroine, Kajal is not entirely new to Hindi filmdom for she has appeared in a small role as Aishwarya Rai's friend in the 2004 film Kyun Hogaya Na.

Kajal who had a series of failures in the beginning of her career attainted fame with the Telugu flick Maghadeera and later followed it up with Arya-2 and many more. In Tamil her most notable ones are Bharathiraja’s Bommalaatam, Saroja and Naan Mahaan Alla. Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty have given back and back hits with the Golmaal trilogy and All The Best and looks like Kajal has chosen right team.

Kajal discusses onscreen chemistry

Heroine Kajal Agarwal proved her mettle by striking the correct chemistry with the heroes with whom she had worked so far. 

"I am really happy that I am being praised for this. My chemistry has worked out well with the heroes with whom I co-starred".

 

She said that the chemistry among the artists would much depend on the rapport they share with each other and the director. 

"In case of both the hero and heroine coming from an experienced level, definitely they will share good chemistry. In my case, I am lucky that I have been with talented heroes. My experience level is not that high. The luck factor on my side is resulting in my directors giving me the second chance," she said.

 

Currently, she is being cast with Prabhas for the second time in Mr Perfectand with Ramcharan Tej for Merupu (after Maghadeera).

New Kajal in the life of Ajay Devgan

Feb 16, Bangalore: The tinsel town was abuzz with the affair between the beautiful actress Kajal and the daring handsome Ajay Devgan. Their love story culminated into marriage and they are known as one of the most successful star couples of Bollywood now. However it is true that the second Kajal has appeared in Ajay’s Life.
Her full name is Kajal Agarwal. She is theleading lady paired opposite to Ajay Devgan in an upcoming movie. She is an established actress in the Tamil, Kannada and Telugu movie industry. Chandamama in Telugu and Saroja in Tamil are her big cine hits. The Telugu flick Magadheera is so far her biggest block buster and has firmly placed her in the hearts of the audience. She earlier appeared in a mini role in the Hindi movie Kyun…..Ho Gaya Na. She played the role of a friend to the heroine, Aishwarya Rai.
The Hindi remake of the southern film Singam is undertaken by the director Rohit Shetty. His initial plan was to cast Anushka Shetty in the film, opposite to Ajay Devgan. However, this was not to be. Anushka had a busy schedule and she declined the offer. The director approached Kajal Agarwal next, who readily accepted the offer. This is her first appearance in a Hindi movie, in a central role.

Kajal to star with Ajay Devgn

Kajal Agarwal who catapulted to the big league post "Magadheera" and continued her run of luck with "Brindavanam", has landed a plum role as the leading lady in Ajay Devgn's forthcoming film. 

The film, we hear, is a remake of the Suriya-Anushka super hit Tamil film "Singam" ("Yamudu" in Telugu). Our sources confirm that the remake will be directed by Rohit Shetty. Kajal debuted in Bollywood with in a cameo in the film "Kyun... Ho Gaya Na!" in which she played Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's friend.
 

Kajal gets into Bollywood

Kajal Agarwal, having consolidated her position as one of the most sought-after contemporary heroines, is now moving towards Bollywood. 

After a constant watch for the right chance, she has accepted a role opposite Ajay Devgn for the remake of Suriya`s Tamil hit Singam(dubbed in Telugu as Yamudu). The film will be directed by Rohith Shetty. 

Anushka was initially chosen but after she denied the role they moved on to Kajal.

 

Interestingly, many heroines from South, Shriya, Trisha, Asin and Priyamani, have tried their luck in Bollywood, but they had to make a U-turn at the very initial stage, with just one or two films. Let us wait and see how Kajal wades through the high-voltage competition there. 

Naga Chaitanya, Kajal Agarwal Film Shooting in Hyderabad

After the class film ‘Ye Maya Chesave’, Naga Chaitanya is doing a full-fledged action entertainer under the direction of debutant Ajay Bhuyan. D Siva Prasad Reddy of Sri Kamakshi Movies Banner is producing the film. Currently, the film shooting is progressing in Hyderabad.

It is learnt that filmmakers are filming a song on Naga Chaitanya and Kajal Agarwal along with few scenes. Sources close to film unit say that Naga Chaitanya’s new look and action scenes will attract the audiences.

Meanwhile, filmmakers are considering an apt title for the film and expected to be out soon. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music for the film.

On the other hand, Naga Chaitanya is also working for an untitled film which is being directed by Sukumar. Tamanna is playing the lead female role in the film while Bunny Vasu is producing it. The film is expected to hit screens in March.
